Bettye's Resume

With this being the first time the United States has hosted the International Equestrian Games, we are proud to have them in Lexington, Kentucky.

Likewise, it is appropriate to celebrate this event with colorful paintings reflective of the equestrian event in Louisville’s International Airport "Pegasus Gallery."

As a horsewoman and artist, it is my pleasure to represent the eight equestrian competitions in a series of oil paintings featuring Dressage, Driving, Eventing, Endurance, Jumping, Para Dressage, Reining, and Vaulting.

Additionally, I have addressed World issues by including Peace in eight languages or symbols; protection of our children in the Global Community; and current environmental concerns of the Gulf of Mexico.

Being a ‘child of the sixties’, I have enjoyed using bright colors and symbols to address important issues in a playful way.

I hope you enjoy them!
